The Bo-Kaap is a neighbourhood in Cape Town, South Africa. It was originally established by freed slaves brought to South Africa by the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries respectively. Situated on the slopes of Signal Hill, the steep streets are lined with colourful traditional houses, painted in vibrant colours. Hire a vehicle from car hire cape town south africa and experience this Cape Malay community which is proudly Islamic. You’ll be able to see several mosques around the cobbled streets, as well as the locals wearing traditional dress. This is a learning experience, a sight not to be missed.
