In this day and time when the economic downturn has left many retirement accounts running on “low” and unemployment percentages soaring, it was truly a venture into the unknown as my business partner and I looked to open a new fitness center.  We were fortunate to have a long-time friend who is the local sales manager for Eugene Fitness Equipment.  Along with out friendship, she was able to offer some extra accommodations which along with our government grant made our dream come true.  The grant came as a result of our location in the inner-city and our free classes geared toward the youth of these neighborhoods.
