The first time I traveled out of the country I had the mistaken idea the the exchange rate for currency would be the same everywhere. I have since learned that it isn’t. Now when I travel I have to investigate to find out where I can find the best foreign exchange rates. I have to admit that it doesn’t make any sinse to me. I would think on any given day the rates would be set for all the places that exchanged U.S. currency for other currency. I guess I need a class of world economics to understand why the rates of exchange are so widely spread depending on where you go to exchange it.
