I have had several people tell me that I should take out and carry product liability insurance of some sort to protect myself and my family from some lawsuit-happy person who might cut themselves or get a splinter from something that I had made. You don’t know the kind of people who will be buying your items and what they may do with them.

So a sound thing to do is to take out some sort of insurance to give you piece of mind while you sell your wares online.
