I am a teacher and teach mostly art classes at the fifth grade level and this year decided to do something a bit different. Students are creating a pop art portrait of themselves based on their favorite photo. So far, it has been a hit with the kids and they are having a great time with it while exploring their creative abilities. I have had several parents stop by just to tell me how excited their child is to be in my class. Teaching is very rewarding, especially when you find something that truly reaches the kids. I decided to continue the pop art idea for next year as well.
