Today I’m going to give you a look into the basic setup of a futon. There are 3 essential parts.

First – The mattress or pad. This is the main part of a futon and comes in many different forms: pad, foam, spring, etc. This can stand alone or be put on a frame or platform.

Second – The cover. These come in all sorts of fabrics, from cotton to leather. This will ensure a clean futon and will making cleaning a breeze.

Third – The frame or platform. A Futon Frame is built from wood or metal and can be folded into a bed or sofa. A platform, made of wood, however can’t fold up.
