I grew up on well water and never really noticed the pungent smell of it until after I moved out of my moms house.  Every time I go back home for a visit the water seems to smell worse.  My kids have even say that grandma’s house stinks when the water is running and they refuse to take a bath in it. I’ve been sending her advertisements for PUR water filters as a hint.  She did take the advice started using a pitcher filter so at least the drinking water is odor free. Finally, I convinced her to get the water tested and it surprisingly came back free and clear.  It’s contaminate free; just smelly!
