Years ago, when we first bought our house we did not have a lot of options for insurance companies. We had needed to put a claim in when we lived in our apartment due to rain damage and because of that, when we needed a new policy there was only one company that would insure us. Now, enough time has gone by that we have more options. So, I have been comparison shopping for home owner insurance. Since we have more options, I am thinking about increasing our coverage, but only if I can do that without spending a lot of money.
