Don’t Hurt Others with Bad Breath. Let Utah Dentists Help You Get Fresher Breath

Do you want to hurt others? Surely not. However, there are times, whether we want it to happen or not, we end up hurting other people, even those that are dear to us. And most of the times, we are unaware of the harm we cause them.

Did you know that you can hurt others by talking? And I am not talking about saying hurtful things that can degrade other people’s feelings. I am talking about something else that comes out of your mouth that can make others feel insulted–bad breath.

Bad breath, or halitosis, is one of the most feared conditions by people. Having bad breath is like having a scarlet letter embedded on you. People will turn away from you, dislike you, and even be hostile to you.

They can be mean and belittle you. They’ll think you do not deserve to be treated with respect because you don’t respect yourself enough to practice proper (and decent) oral hygiene.

How hard is it to brush and floss your teeth everyday? It doesn’t take more than fifteen minutes to do those things. You spend at least 15 hours awake each day doing all sorts of stuff. How hard is it to pick up a toothbrush and clean your teeth, right? Utah dentists will tell you that your first line of defense against halitosis is cleaning your teeth, tongue, and gums.

Bad breath is caused by the growth of bacteria in the mouth. Bacteria naturally thrive in the mouth. It’s overgrowth is aggravated by the failure to clean your teeth after meals. Food particles left in your teeth form plaque, which can lead to cavities. The bacteria will cause the bad odor in your oral cavity. Naturally, something not clean will smell bad.

If you ask Utah dentists, they will tell you that there are other causes of bad breath. You can be brushing your teeth all the time and still have it. Drying of the mouth, yeast infections, certain foods, and medical conditions can also cause your breath to stink. This is why it is best to consult your dentist for the prevention and treatment of bad breath.
