But my role here today is as - as always - to fly the flag for Brighton and Hove and attest how forward intending and politically alive our population is, and having a ratio of men to women in parliament more representative of the population, is in my opinion, a whole step in the right direction!

The last time that I visited my mother she was in the planning stages of her yearly vacation.  Each year she gathers travel brochures and after reading all of the information about the various different places, decides where she is going to visit when she goes on vacation.  This year I asked her what locations she was considering and she handed me a brochure advertising Egypt holidays while telling me all about the things she planned to do while she was there.  She is so excited about her trip and I hope that she has a great time while she is away.
