As a film director, I have to arrange many things in order to get our people where they need to be for a movie shoot. Several months ago we had to go to another country to film some scenes, and we needed to arrange quite a few rental vehicles. I had heard great things about AVIS Rent a Car - South Africas leading Car Rental Company, and I called them and got everything set up. They had our vehicles all ready when we arrived, and we were able to get the footage we needed. It was one of the best trips I’ve taken in a long time.

Brighton Short Breaks considers Brighton and Hove demonstrating its as the most Right On city in the UK this week with the fact that it is the first a parliamentary election has realized an all-female listing of candidates . 20 years after Mrs Thatcher broke political conventions by being elected the first ever female Prime Minister the charge that the lobbies of Westminster are still a male dominated ring just as obstreperously as ever! So, Brighton and Hove’s whole female short list of Parliamentary prospects affords some encouragement to a potential future switch of ground in the gender equaliser in the political power arena . Being quoted in The Argus , Fawcett Society chief executive Ceri Goddard said: “If all the candidates are women that is cause for celebration but also concern that it has taken until 2009, whereas all-male elections are still the norm. “The voters if Brighton can be pleased that whom ever they elect they will be a step closer to closing the gender gap in parliament where currently less than 20% of our MP’s are women – less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda.” ‘Less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda……… ‘ - personally that particular assertion left me slightly flustered about the state of our policy-making arena and curious as to the grounds for male domination above and beyond the one-time antecedency that gentlemen should have it all their own way - and its a whole Pandoras box of discussion that is nicest left for another place. But my role here today is as - as always - to fly the flag for Brighton and Hove and attest how forward intending and politically alive our population is, and having a ratio of men to women in parliament more representative of the population, is in my opinion, a whole step in the right direction!

The last time that I visited my mother she was in the planning stages of her yearly vacation. Each year she gathers travel brochures and after reading all of the information about the various different places, decides where she is going to visit when she goes on vacation. This year I asked her what locations she was considering and she handed me a brochure advertising Egypt holidays while telling me all about the things she planned to do while she was there. She is so excited about her trip and I hope that she has a great time while she is away.

Our anniversary party truly was a night to remember thanks to a wonderful Henderson NV hotel. The lovely evening filled with laughter and dear friends and family was a magical event with the help of their extraordinary staff. Every single detail was lovingly attended to for our party. We are so thankful that we chose this great Henderson NV hotel. The food was delightfully prepared and the room so elegantly decorated. It was even more beautiful than our wedding. Also, the hotel rooms were so comfortable and spacious. We had many family members and friends stay the weekend with us and they are glad they did.

We have chosen to frequent the same place for the last four years on our family holiday. As a busy mom, my reasons may be a little bit different than the rest of the family, but I think the fact that I finally get peace and the lovely silence of the country must be mentioned! However, the real main reason we have enjoyed and always return to the Martinborough Holiday Houses is that these are truly just like home away from home. We already have everything we need to cook our own meals if we like, we have plenty of room, and we have so many options for fun that we will always find new things to do.

Most of the World Cup action will take place in Johannesburg and Cape Town, but in addition to air travel, there is rail or bus service between the host cities. Ask your World Cup travel agent to plot out a package that includes local public transportation for you. Renting a car is also an option, but you will need to familiarize yourself with local driving regulations and insurance laws. Your travel agent should also include this in your world cup packages because the number of cars available for rent are limited. Licensed taxis, coaches, shuttles and regular buses are all being pressed into service to accommodate the more than 3 million football fans expected to descend on South Africa during the tournament.
