When you’re a big guy like myself, people always assume you have a great deal of body strength, but that’s just not the case with me. I am big, chubby, fat, or whatever other euphemism you want to use the condition. I want to build up muscle where everyone sees fat. I want to no longer be ashamed of my big body but proud of it. I don’t expect to turn into the Hulk, but I would like to be as cut as some of the football players I see. I need some motivation and encouragement to get started on a program.

On Tuesday night I went over to my friend Jack’s house in South Gardena. For the past six months Jack and I have been working out in his garage. He has quite a few weak systems and machines. Because of this I don’t have to join a gym and can save a lot of money. On top of this I get a free spotter on the free weights. One of the thing that Jack emphasizes to anyone he knows is the consumption of whole food vitamins. He is five years older than me; however he looks about 10 years younger than me.

I have been looking for raw food recipes for such a long time and your book was spot on! You write with such zest and enthusiasm for life and your chosen path which I find completely contagious!
