Now that Jose had completed intermediate English, he was able to find a job.  It was a lot of hard work, learning to speak English without a heavy accent.  It was also hard to find places to practice English since he lived in Miami.  Many people in Miami speak Spanish and would greet Jose in his native tongue.  In order for Jose to practice what he had learned in his english courses in miami, he would often answer in English.  Sometimes this confused the person he was talking to, until he explained that he was learning English and needed to practice.  His friends and family were very encouraging, and Jose was very successful.
