Will An Open House Get My Home Sold?

December 1st, 2010 by admin

Should my Realtor have an open house for my home that is for sale?  Your Realtor should put together a complete marketing plan for home when you hire him/her to sell your house.  If the Realtor thinks that the best way to attract potential buyers is an Open House then that will be part of the plan.  An Open House is generally held on Sundays.  Typically they are held for 2 to 4 hours.  Occasionally, a Realtor will hold the open home from early morning until late evening, but generally this is not the case.  Your Realtor will check to make sure that the Open House doesn’t conflict with holidays or special events.  Lastly, to make sure that the Open House gets as much traffic as possible the Realtor will check the weather.  Generally, people stay home during in climate weather.   For some homes an Open House can help sell the home more quickly.  Check with your Relator to find out if an Open Home is the best option for you.
