What is a Moveable Chicken Coop?

In building a chicken coop, you may want to keep it portable so that you can use the grass in your backyard as part of the chickens’ diet. When the part where you put the portable chicken coop is trimmed, you can move it to another spot in your area. This will help you keep your garden trimmed and save a little on chicken feed.
Movable chicken coops are cheaper to design, lightweight to carry around and easier to construct. However, there may be some limitations such as the space could only allow a certain number of hens. Also, during winter, the portable chicken coop may be not enough to protect the birds from the cold. The chicken coop should be built heavy enough to stand heavy winds and storms but light enough to be moved around by one person.
You could search for free designs of portable chicken coops on the internet or if you don’t have much experience with woodwork, you could also purchase a manual that will show you how to build one using illustrations and written instructions.
