The other day a friend of mine who has been writing on her website for several years commented about some strange things happening. It turns out a friend of a friend found her website via some very odd search terms and proceeded to tear through the site leaving very inappropriate comments. Luckily my friend used her webstats to dig into the when and how of the person finding her site and she was able to quickly make some changes. Of course whenever you write and put things unrestricted onto the Internet you run the risk of people finding you that you never expected. But it can be unnerving nonetheless.
